JOB DESCRIPTION

Watson Mills & Design is seeking an experienced architectural millwork engineer to manage all aspects of a project. The candidate will be responsible for managing engineering requirements of projects from concept to fabrication.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare architectural millwork shop drawings (AutoCAD)
• Assure correct fit/interaction with all hardware and appliances
• Be able to adapt and align with changes as they come in.
• Update architectural millwork shop drawings as needed for production drawings
• Cut list and program parts for production
• Communicate with project manager, vendors, production team, and installers
• Organize work to meet project scheduled milestones

 

REQUIREMENTS

• • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in architectural millwork or similar
  • Expert AutoCAD skills
  • 3D model experience
  • Some experience in Microvellum/AlphaCAM or similar
  • Strong Excel, Word, Bluebeam and email skills
  • Knowledge of wood products and lumber terms
  • Ability to pass a drug test and physical
  • Strong attention to detail, organized, production-oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently when required with little supervision
  • Strong problem-solving skills

        • With 5+ years’ experience in architectural millwork or similar
      • Or a college degree that aligns with the position
    • Schedule – Monday – Friday 7 AM to 4:30 PM, and overtime when necessary
