Watson Mills & Design was founded in 1978 by Richard Watson, a self-made woodworker. Richard retired in 2011 and sold the business to his longtime General Manager, Todd Palmer.
Todd joined Watson Mills in 2006. He brings 20 years of woodwork management and execution knowledge to the table. He has experience in both commercial and residential markets and holds a bachelor's degree in Wood Technology from Pittsburg State University. Todd's best attributes are his "steel trap" memory, his true caring for projects and the clients associated with them, and his never-wavering eye on the details with the ability to see the big picture at the same time.
Our shop is staffed with many incredible craftsmen. Several members of the shop personnel have been with Watson Mills for ten years or more and one from the very beginning - a true indication of the dedication and caliber of our workforce. The administrative / office staff is comprised of the "jack-of-all-trades" types of individuals who are often found to perform several of the following jobs on any given day - draftsman, estimator, equipment code programmer, project manager, marketing / sales, and billing and administrative. We do what needs to be done around here - it's what keeps us grounded and makes us honest.
